What is the Briarwood Auction?
The Briarwood Bash is a biennial auction dating back to 1981 that raises funds for Briarwood’s PTA. It’s also a fun night out for Briarwood parents and supporters to enjoy food and drink, live music, and each other’s company! Attendees can bid on items via our online platform (silent auction), and during a fun live auction with exciting trips, sports tickets, and other great experiences.
This year’s auction is Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the Uptown Theater. The theme is Sneaker Soirée and will feature live and silent auctions plus a live band and dancing. There will be hors d’oeuvres served and a cash bar.
Why are we raising funds?
It’s simple — Because Briarwood Kids!
Every dollar raised at the Briarwood Bash goes right back to supporting what makes our school so special — the people, programs, and experiences that can’t be covered by district funding but make a huge difference in our children’s learning and happiness. Our students and community show up year after year, and together we make magic happen!
Here’s what your generosity helps fund in 2026 and beyond:
Unforgettable Community Events — Free for All Families! We proudly keep favorites like the Carnival, Bulldog Jog, Family Movie Night, Science Night, and Bulldogs Around the World free of charge. These events help kids connect, build memories, and strengthen our Briarwood spirit — because no child should miss out due to cost.
Student Support That Matters: We fund a part-time reading interventionist, giving students across all grade levels the small-group attention they need to build confidence in reading and math — the foundation of lifelong learning.
Enhanced Learning Tools and Technology: Not all learning resources are covered by the district, so we partner directly with teachers to fund engaging, teacher-approved educational subscriptions and curriculum enhancements that bring lessons to life.
Teacher Love & Classroom Support: Every Briarwood teacher receives $250 in classroom funding for essential supplies and creative projects, ensuring they have what they need to inspire students without dipping into their own pockets.
Social & Emotional Wellbeing: We’re helping meet the growing needs of our students by exploring “fidget” boxes for classrooms and working toward creating a sensory calm-down room, a dedicated space for students who need a quiet moment to reset and refocus.

Why should I go to the auction?
It’s a fun night out, and it’s all for the kids! It’s a great time to catch up with old friends and meet new ones, all while raising money for Briarwood. The auction is our biggest and most important fundraiser.
How can I buy a ticket?
Tickets go on sale November 7, 2025 at Briarwoodbash.com. Tickets are limited by space, and they typically sell out quickly. Each ticket is $75, and includes access to our online bidding platform and entrance to the event.
We’re excited to use online bidding for the silent auction again this year. You will create your bidding account when you purchase tickets. You will then bid on silent auction items from your phone. The live auction starts at 9:00 PM. You will be assigned a bid number and given a paddle upon arrival at the auction.

What is the attire for the auction?
Most will be decked out in cocktail attire. This night is all about showing off your kicks, so whether you’re rocking retro Air Force 1s, red-soled heels, platform disco shoes, or your favorite cowboy boots—let your shoes do the talking. Dress it up, dress it down—just be comfortable, confident, and ready to dance. Come ready to bid, dance, and laugh—all while supporting the students and teachers who make Briarwood shine!
What are “Class Parties?”
These are parties for kids, typically planned by grade level. They are each hosted by 2-4 families and are set for a certain date/time and specific number of kids who can attend. These might be events like a playdate at the park with popsicles, a swimming party, or an outdoor movie night.
You can “purchase” these parties at the auction for a set amount of money (usually around $30) until all of the spaces allotted are filled.
Class parties are available for purchase on bidpal at 6pm the night of the auction.
They can go quickly so make sure to purchase these early!
What are “Parent Parties”?
So. Much. Fun. Parent Parties will also be available to “purchase” at the auction. Much like Class Parties, Parent Parties are hosted by a couple of families and will be held on a set date/time for a specified number of attendees. Parent Parties might range from a Karaoke Night to a whiskey tasting to a Botox party. Find one or two that sound fun to you and be sure to grab your spot.
What is “Class Art?”
Each class or grade creates a collaborative piece of artwork that is included in the silent auction. Look for these pieces on display at the auction!
